Lakers (57-24) had worked hard to pass. Bryant rest, starting Shannon - Brown scored 24 points, Pau Gasol 28 points and eight rebounds. Sasha off the bench  Vujacic scored 13 points and six rebounds.

Their only hot news is that Tai Ruike - Evans may be the best rookie, and he has become the fourth NBA rookie season in the history of average scores, rebounds and assists 20 +, 5 +, 5 + players. Evans ate twice in the third quarter today, technology, was ejected, 10 points 3 assists.

No match for both sides too much significance, the Lakers let Kobe rest altogether, Brown replaced him starting to play.

Bryant's absence, the Lakers bench to get more performance opportunities, they are terrific. Little chance of Morrison playing there in Section 3 minutes 22 seconds hit third when the Lakers to 51-49 beyond. Walton also hit a two-thirds since then, the Lakers began to take hold. Brooks almost locked the fastest progress awards, good or bad?

April 13,Rocket best Kings 117-107, Rockets win  5 game in this month. But the main hand attack Aaron  Brooks had 11 shots, only 4 scored 10 points in  Martin 39 points in a bad light illuminated, so the data will undoubtedly look very pale.

However, this war down, on the Brooks case, has not anything. Even if the last two games without a point, it is difficult to conceal a small cloth progress this season. U.S. time on April 12, NBA official net forecast for the final awards season, which, he gave the fastest progress prize was awarded to a small cloth. And shortly after, official website and another expert with respect, honor small cloth is necessary to achieve results. In addition, earlier before, including ESPN, ring in the world, and other famous American basketball media, are also named in the awards season, will be selected as the fastest progress in small cloth Award.

Indeed worthy of the glory of a small cloth. Before the King, a small cloth averaged 19.8 points, 5.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds last season, three statistics were more than 8.6 points, 2.3 assists and 0.7 rebounds, followed by growth rate reached 76.8%, 76.7% and 35%. And in the two-point shooting and three-point accuracy on the improved than last season, also hit a career record.

However, in the eyes of a small cloth, called the fastest progress awards honor, not his ultimate pursuit. "I do not want to win this award as a target," a small cloth attitude firmly said, "In fact, as long as I year in the league, I would call their own progress. This is my third year in the league effect, made it big leap, mainly because they get more playing time, have taken up more responsibility. from middle to high school and then to university, I always strive to improve and achieve a new level. Therefore, this season, I not feel more special. Since I play since this is my usual way of working. "

From this perspective, even if the return of Yao Ming in the coming year, Martin is still staying effect, we still have reason to expect a small cloth to make persistent efforts in the future. The awards honor the fastest progress in the final analysis, is only a recognition of this season, and get it, is not necessarily onto a mark of success. Earlier, the United States has even suggested that if we can avoid and even refused to receive the fastest progress awards, because share of glory, and sometimes, more like a curse.

Suns Use 3-Point Barrage to Beat Rockets 116-106

The Phoenix Suns were 3 1/2 minutes away from what would have been a brutal loss. Then, as has happened so often, the 3-pointers started falling.

Amare Stoudemire had 35 points and 13 rebounds and the Suns made four 3s in a row to pull away for a 116-106 victory over the Houston Rockets on Sunday night.

Against the Suns, Rockets coach Rick Adelman said, ''You're rolling the dice.''

''If you try to take away the 3s, then you've got Stoudemire rolling down the middle and we don't have anybody to stop him,'' he said. ''And they didn't make them until the last 3 minutes.''

Channing Frye made two of the 3s and Steve Nash and Jason Richardson had one apiece in a 14-0 run after the Rockets took a 102-100 lead with 3:23 left.

''They had a hard time on the screen and roll,'' Stoudemire said. ''When I rolled to the basket, they were sucking in and Steve was doing a great job of finding open guys.''

The victory moved Phoenix into a tie with Utah and Denver for the third playoff spot in the West, a half-game behind No. 2 Dallas, with two to play. The Suns' final two games are at home against Denver on Tuesday and at Utah on Wednesday.

Celtics (49-30) in the playoffs came around half doubtful. Rajon - Long got 17 points more than 12 assists and six rebounds, Ray  Allen and Kendrick  Perkins 10 points each.Kevin Garnett and Paul  Pierce failed to double, respectively, got 8 points and 9 points.

Bulls win Cavaliers lost to the Nets ,playoff cast a pale sad

April 10, the Chicago Bulls 116-127 loss to the New Jersey Nets. At present the team's record is 38 wins 41 negative, and the Toronto Raptors flat. Competition in the final two teams will continue a playoff spot.

Unstable state of the bull we all know, the recent back to back as if this is a microcosm of the whole year. They won the first League leader, turned the vice squad lost to Union. Knight was put on ice for LeBron James good, but the Bulls this season even be subject to the Nets double play, it is difficult to imagine how such a team preparing for the playoffs.

Schedule arrangement is not on their side. Bulls and Raptors this season only three encounters, the first two to win back all Maple Leaf Regiment. This also means that the case of a tie in the record, the Bulls are out of an ironclad. Both teams will have a direct dialogue with the day after tomorrow, if the Bulls lose the game, to experience the playoff hopes afraid I can only wait for five years. The team's two remaining rivals, the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks are still in the third stage of competition is unlikely to face the frozen main; ending war in the Charlotte Bobcats will be a vague possibility lock the seventh position, Therefore, the task is to ensure that the Bulls will stay until the last moment of suspense.

Say luck, God has been very favor the Bulls had. Recently Chris Bosh - and Heaton Turkoglu had suffered facial injuries, including Bosh Toronto Raptors regular season on the strength of claims great impact. Harding Park is just bull, the Raptors were the two remaining rivals the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks, which is seeding the two teams, even with a Canzhen response may also be won.

Bulls to the playoffs can make a difference? Last year's magic performance is not as observation of their sample. In fact, if "the first year, the Celtics hit the second year, hitting Knight" as the line, then against the Atlanta Hawks could be used as their reference. Hawks in the 2007-08 season with the green jersey as the military hard-fought seven games, the next year still are knights kill four in straight sets. Guards hit middle and lower ranks have experience in particular before yesterday's loss to Chicago, Cleveland against winning teams is less negative and more 30 game winning streak, the NBA's history can be discharged to third.

Bulls season a lot of problems, the situation is actually smaller than last year, the players staged Shijizhizhan time. Joe King  NOAA today, only two-plus when playing 36 minutes. Taking into account Taki  Gibson's malaise, NOAA is puzzling to play so little, at least explain his plantar fasciitis may not be all good. Was to provide backcourt scoring two explosive Titans, the  Gordon and  John Salmons is not the same team now, this vacancy is definitely not the Ruhr  Deng's back, and signed Philip  Murray, Jieni Luo Pargo can fill the role of such Ersan Liu.

Evans Helps Kings Beat Clippers, Snap 8-Game Skid

Tyreke Evans had 28 points, six rebounds and seven assists to help the Sacramento Kings snap an eight-game losing streak with a 116-94 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.

After the Clippers cut Sacramento's 16-point halftime to eight after three quarters, the Kings came out with a 16-2 to run to start the fourth in pushing their lead to 100-78. It was the first time in nine games that the Kings topped 100 points.

Chris Kaman scored 23 points for the Clippers, who have lost seven straight and are 3-19 since Feb. 24. Eric Gordon had 21 points, Drew Gooden scored 17 and Baron Davis had 11 points and 10 assists.

Jason Thompson had 22 points and 15 rebounds for the Kings, who outscored the Clippers 32-18 in the fourth quarter. Carl Landry added 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Francisco Garcia and Beno Udrih scored 12 points each.

Evans is trying to become the fourth NBA player to average 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in their rookie season. The other three are Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Evans is already assured of averaging more than five rebounds and five assists per game. He needs 51 points in his final three games to average 20 points.

While Evans, a leading candidate for NBA Rookie of the Year, has been a bright spot all season for the Kings, the Clippers have dealt with not having top draft pick Blake Griffin for even one game. A stress fracture in his left knee has sidelined Griffin all season.

The Clippers finished with a road record of 8-33 this season and have just three wins outside of Los Angeles since Dec. 19. Interim coach Kim Hughes has a 6-23 record since taking over from Mike Dunleavy on Feb. 6.

Trailing by 16 points at the half, the Clippers came out with some energy in the third quarter behind the inside play of Kaman. He made six of seven shots and scored 13 points to help the Clippers cut the Sacramento lead to 84-76 heading into the fourth.

With the Clippers seemingly uninterested in playing defense during the first half, Evans was regularly penetrating for layups, hitting open jumpers or finding teammates. He had 17 points, five rebounds and five assists in helping the Kings to a 63-47 lead.

Suns Focus on young players, Nash effect playoffs

Nash on the bench, dressed in a towel, looking at his left and right replacement Delajike sudden, very relieved.

Section IV, no Nash on a minute, so 18 points is not visible, the time may be three assists 12 times, still very great. Gentry does not want the final stage of consumption in the regular season, Nash physical, he had to keep first place to the playoffs with. "Elvin (Gentry) has recently been the case," Nash said, "If we get a lead, not to be too anxious, eager to change my back on the court, let the field that players adhere to hit, do they the ability to try to play a little longer. 10-point lead is 10 points ahead, do as in the past, as a 3 point lead, then I'm anxious to go back. This is for young people to help, also let me good to play in the playoffs. "

The game, Nash's seasoned experience is young to learn. 31.6 seconds left in the first half when the Suns throw out after Nash left the ball rolling on the ground slowly, just do not touch the ball. They do not touch the ball, time will not go, it will format in 31.6 seconds. Nash Big World, see no one trying to steals up on the step until beyond the arc, grabbed the ball only just shipped a moment, jumped up, threw out the ball into, three!

Nash put it lightly, but this really brings together the wisdom of a veteran career. And he make good use of this last attack, in San Antonio after the failure, sudden Nash holding the audience, and finally result in Jefferson fouls, free throws. 5 points by which the sun at the end of the first half, leading by 9 points.

This is the role of Nash. His brain is the high-speed operation of the computer, can predict the situation in court, according to the situation and make adjustments. Nash recently told "Sports Illustrated" interview, also talked about the hands of last season playing in Terry Porter's experience, when people think that the older he slowed down, "fans had been misled to think that I am in that 3 and a half months, began to decline, slowly. I never said that, I know their capabilities. This year I was back to feeling. "

James missed playing,Bulls beat Cavaliers full of adventure

41

April 9, Cavaliers general LeBron James missed, the road loss to  the Bulls 108-109.

Bulls (38-40) tied the record on the Raptors, but still temporarily ninth. Derek - Rose scored 24 points and 10 assists, and Kirk Hinrich 23 points, lol  Deng 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Joe Gold  NOAA 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Cleveland (61-18) already locked the league, sit back, do not let LeBron  James play. Mo  Williams scored 35 points and 10 assists, and Antoine Jamison 23 points, Gumaliao Moon 14.

This is an excellent opportunity for the Bulls. Eastern Eight has produced seven, they can only compete with the Raptors last places. Bulls and Raptors will face a battle, as long as the rest of the race victory, you can still make the playoffs.

Face less James, Shaquille  O'Neal and Delong Te  West and Cleveland, the Bulls are playing is not easy. Section III half, they opened the gap to 76-64, but the Cavaliers after flowering inside and outside, and the Moon in a record one-third of the vote, Knight to the end of this section, a wave of 16-6, 80-82 behind only the first three quarters .

After the start of the fourth quarter, Cavaliers to 85-84 overtake, more intense competition for both sides. In the game there are 4 minutes and 45 seconds, Williams hit consecutive two-thirds, lead Cavaliers to 100-96.

Williams then hit another two-third, but the NOAA twice fired back, the Bulls in the game when there is 1 minute 21 seconds lead to 109-108.

Since then both teams are not shooting, the Flor - Deng pointer with 14.4 seconds grabbed the key rebound, unfortunately the result missed two free throws after the foul.

Varejao is not in the last minute shot. Ross once again missed two free throws, but grabbed offensive rebounds NOAA, end of the game.

Where rocket power is, a glorious team for a goal to flight

On April 8, the Houston Rockets 113-103 took road game victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, and will return home back to back against the Utah Jazz.

For an entire season in the struggle to uphold, and firmly believe that to gain a playoff team for places, there is not much to win.

Rockets from the playoffs does not seem to get out of the shadows, they are constantly referring to the playoffs, had not fought back seat to all the questions, whether it is tied Bluff Alstom single season threes record the total number of Aaron Brooks, or bear a grudge on weak defensive rocket Trevor Ariza.

10 points from victory, the Rockets tied the record on just the Grizzlies, for the time being ranked ninth in the Western position. This is a glorious tradition of the team should have to do. Since the 1984-1985 seasons - the NBA is a significant history of remarkable season, the Rockets not only three season winning percentage to 50% better than their team, only Utah. Although the rocket's position is likely not change, however, a 42-win season after all 40 negative 42 negative than 40 wins a good season.

Determined after the playoffs last Saturday, the Rockets once while maintaining a 50% winning percentage on the trouble.

Yes, this is not a brilliant victory, the Rockets are still exposed many problems, especially in fragile beginning of the game on defense - the issue that has dogged them three quarters of a season. However, the Rockets maintained their competitive edge, has been fighting, which they failed to do in the Sun. With the game in depth, the Rockets have done better. Adelman said after the defeat in that, "This is a embarrassing defeat", and this time, the Rockets fans felt they played very well.

"We are in the game and a good team and we beat them four times." Adelman said, "We are now caught up with them, and then to see if we can get straight. We look hovering 50% winning percentage in the line, maybe we can do. "

After the game, the Rockets to back to back at home playing jazz, perhaps the biggest game of their power.

All of this with dignity, which meant many things, especially so after the two very different after the game, that feeling will be more intense.

Salmons Scores 22 Points, Bucks Beat Nets

John Salmons scored 22 points on 10 of 13 shooting and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday night after clinching a playoff berth a day earlier.

Jerry Stackhouse added 18 points and Kurt Thomas had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks, who won their third straight and improved to 2-0 without center Andrew Bogut. Milwaukee remains fifth in the Eastern Conference and can finish no worse than seventh at this point even without Bogut, who is lost for the season after dislocating his right elbow and breaking his hand on Saturday.

Devin Harris scored 18 of his 25 points in the first quarter as New Jersey fell to 11-67, guaranteeing the Nets will finish with at least a share of the worst record in the league.

The game was tied at half, but Milwaukee (44-34) put the pressure on down the stretch to improve to 10 games over .500. The Bucks led 82-75 after three and led by as many as 20 in the final quarter as New Jersey never threatened.

Ersan Ilyasova had 15 points and nine rebounds and rookie Brandon Jennings scored 12, but Salmons led the way and has been a major part of Milwaukee's best record since the franchise went to the Eastern Conference finals in 2001.

Since his acquisition in a trade-deadline deal from Chicago, Milwaukee has won 20 of the last 26. The normally soft-spoken Salmons also showed some fire, drawing a technical foul in the third quarter.

With Yi Jianlian on the free-throw line and Brook Lopez on the blocks, Salmons, standing behind the 3-point arc began jawing with Lopez, walking up and bumping him. An official came in and separated the two.
Thomas also patrolled down low the way Bogut used to, and the Bucks will need the 15-year veteran to be a major contributor with Bogut out.

While the 7-foot Australian hasn't been made available to the media since the injury, he hasn't lost his sense of humor. The No. 1 draft pick in 2005 tweeted before his surgery this week ''wanna swap arms?'' to Jennings since the rookie is a lefty and Bogut hurt his right one.

He's also mentioned that he's very bored, can't play video games because he'd need both hands and that his dogs are giving him strange looks.
What's left for a 7-foot Australian to do? Online shopping.
''This injury is going to cost me alot of money,'' he joked online while talking about cars and asking about iPads. Harris scored in bunches early and reached at least 18 points in a quarter for the fifth time in his career.

His hot start gave New Jersey a 38-33 lead after the first and the Nets led by eight. But Milwaukee rallied to tie it at 58-all at the half.

Fans feel disappointed about Lakers, blaming for Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol

On April 7 , the Lakers and Kobe Bryant had just renewed 3 years, but Kobe Bryant and his teammates did not play up to standard. In the last 7 games, the Lakers lost four games, they did not even easy to lock the number one position in West.

The performance of Bryant signed a contract is not ideal, especially in the loss to the Spurs in that game, Bryant hit only 8 of 24 shooting, but two days before and the Jazz game, Bryant hit 23 shots and 5, whether the injury affected his right hand to play? Bryant refused to support this argument, but the fans for the Lakers is difficult to satisfactory performance. And San Antonio in the game, the fans booed toward the Lakers .

Bryant acknowledged that people are not satisfied with the team's performance: "I have been worried about this, especially we should have better performance, which is a key thing.''

Lakers next game is the second in Denver and West confrontation, then we also have to Minnesota Trail Blazers, Kings and Clippers battle.

Early in the season, the Lakers have the best record in the league to keep those, but now they have been the Cavaliers down. The Lakers only won 5 games remaining, only to win a second consecutive season of 60 wins or more single-season performance, which will be the last century since the 80's team for the first time to do this achievement.

Spurs star Manu Ginobili that, even if the Lakers are so weak, the team is still quite a lot, "the performance of the Lakers is not good now, they lost several consecutive games, but this is still a strong team, they have very many offensive weapons, they will continue to fight, they will be able to play tenacious defense. "

Lakers players should indeed reflect, because even the Zen Master has always been tolerant about losing to San Antonio after the move is also a mind. Jackson criticized the referee was too biased against Ron Artest and Ginobili, in that game, Artest tried to use a more aggressive defense to deal with the Argentines, the results stricken the referee relatively severe punishment. Master of such criticism did not get any good discussion, the Alliance has decided to give him 35,000 U.S. dollars of the fine imposed. For the 10 million annual salary the Zen Master, such a penalty is naturally a small number, but if the old can not blame the players wake up, always need to berate the referee to point coach woke them, and Zen Master of the fine there is no any sense.

However, because the next home game the Spurs beat the Magic, so the Rockets could do nothing but missed the playoffs for the formal acceptance of fate.

Six teams in the playoffs locked in Western

On April 1, Western Conference battle into the closing stages, with the pioneer home victory over the Knicks, while the Grizzlies earlier in overtime edged the Mavericks, Trail Blazers officially locked the western eight seats, two consecutive In the playoffs.

Up to now, six teams have been locked up the Western Conference of the seats, followed by the Lakers, Mavericks, Jazz, Suns, Nuggets and Trail Blazers. The remaining two seats by the Thunder, San Antonio, Memphis and Houston of the four teams competing, in theory, ninth and tenth of the Grizzlies and the Rockets into the playoffs still hope, of course, the premise is a miracle .

Rocket theory does not leave the playoffs, they still hope to catch up with the Spurs. If the remaining games while the Rockets victory all defeat the Spurs, two teams with 45 wins the case, the first comparison between the two sides 2-2 record level, and then comparing the two sides in the Southwest region tournament record, the result of 9 wins with 6 negative (currently Houston 8 wins 6 on the Hornets left a negative), then the team record for comparison with the West, the Rockets 30 win over the Spurs on 22 negative. Of course, the remaining 8 games all the Spurs defeated the Rockets victory but the possibility is almost zero.

It is worth mentioning that the western Thunder currently ranked sixth, seventh pioneers, but now Pioneer has locked up a playoff spot, the higher ranked Thunder Why not locked? The reason for a possible spoiler in the Grizzlies who were. Thunder and Portland with 46 wins, ranked Thunder game in front. Grizzlies victory if the remaining games, while Portland lost all 46 teams are winning, comparison between the two sides level 2-2 record, and then compared with the western team record, Portland is now 29 wins 16 losses, even if the remaining Grizzlies race victory, could only reach 26 wins 26 negative, so they have no hope beyond the pioneers.

But Thunder is not the same, they keep up this season, the Grizzlies play three games total, the two sides have played two games 1-1, but have to wait until the last race the last day of the regular season. If the thunder and the Grizzlies finally won with 46, then the Grizzlies will battle each other with advantages beyond the Thunder (provided that the remaining screenings Grizzlies victory and defeat all the thunder). If it is really by chance, the Grizzlies have been straight wins Thunder, that ownership of the western end of a playoff places, will wait until the last day of the regular season on April 15, the Thunder (home) and the Grizzlies face to face to resolve.

Mavericks still entangled with the magic II, when more than half of this section, Nowitzki shot backward, to tie it at 32-32. After 4 minutes and 30 seconds, Dallas without a point, but Redick hit third for the Magic led them play a wave of 7-0 to 39-32 lead again. Nelson is also in this section before the end of third hit, the Magic lead to 43-36 entering the second half.

Magic in the second half to their advantage, and Mavericks weakness fully shown, in the defense powerless, was magic easy baskets. Mavericks 10 points all from the preganglionic Nowitzki, but his handedly difficult to contend with opponents, quickly reached double-digit gap between the two sides. This section also 2 minutes and 31 seconds, the Mavericks Jiujiang Bass dunk and cause foul, even with a penalty scored 3 vote, since he caused foul, two free throws 1, the Magic ahead by 68-50. 3 After the Mavericks to 56-72 behind.

In the game there are 4 minutes and 36 seconds, Terry hit third, to score into a 75-85 chase. Unfortunately this is the smallest gap between the two, Carter turned around jump shot fired back immediately, after third Pietrus hit, completely off the Mavericks hope.

Thunder on Brink of Bringing Playoffs to OK City

Growing up in Oklahoma City, Mick Cornett was accustomed to living in a place where a major pro sports team wasn't part of the landscape and wasn't thought to be a possibility.

Still, he held out hope. He was optimistic that someday the city could move into the major leagues, and did what he could to help. When Oklahoma City made a move to get an NHL franchise, he signed up for tickets to games that never actually happened.

Led by Kevin Durant's MVP-caliber season, the Oklahoma City Thunder (46-28) are on the brink of making the playoffs and could clinch a berth as early as Friday, if Memphis were to lose to New Orleans. It would cap a remarkable turnaround for a franchise that won only three of its first 30 games after relocating from Seattle and finished last season 23-59.

''To me, that's an incredible bonus that I didn't see coming,'' Cornett said. ''Before the year started, I thought 30-35 wins was about all realistically anyone should expect.'' Durant has continued to develop since being named the NBA's Rookie of the Year in 2008, and now finds himself right behind LeBron James in the NBA scoring race. More importantly, the Thunder have dramatically improved on the defensive end after being one of the league's least stingy teams a season ago.

The postseason started to become a real possibility after a nine-game winning streak that lasted from late January until late February, and Oklahoma City has sustained its success long-term while doubling its win total from last season. ''I never put expectations on them. I focused on getting better,'' coach Scott Brooks said. ''Over the summer, we focused on getting better defensively and that has happened. ... I like what we've done during the year.''

The end result has been a practically new team that Oklahoma City can call its own. The Thunder have sold out 24 of their 37 home games and rank 11th in the league with average attendance of 17,972 -- or 98.7 percent capacity at the Ford Center, where about 1,000 seats were removed as part of an upgrade last offseason that added luxury suites.

The Thunder's exploits mark the latest development in Oklahoma City's rise as an NBA city.

Suns Blow by Nets for 9th in a Row

Steve Nash had 24 points and 14 assists, Jason Richardson scored 23 points, and the Phoenix Suns ran their winning streak to nine games by beating the New Jersey Nets 116-105 Wednesday night.

Phoenix, on its longest win streak since winning a franchise-record 17 in a row during the 2006-07 season, came in one game out of second place in the Western Conference. The Suns, who clinched a playoff spot Tuesday, finished 12-2 in March and are an NBA-best 18-4 since the All-Star break.

Jared Dudley hit two 3-pointers late in the period, the second increasing the lead to 15 before the Suns took an 88-76 advantage to the fourth. They shot 67 percent overall in the period.

New Jersey got within five early in the fourth quarter before Phoenix quickly regained command.

The game was tied at 23 after one quarter, then reserves Williams (10 points) and Humphries (nine) helped the Nets score 30 points on 65 percent shooting in the second to take a 53-50 lead into the half. Phoenix had seven turnovers in the period and 10 in the first half.

Wallace, Chandler Help Bobcats Beat 76ers 103-84

Bobcats (39-35)had six game winning streak. Gerald Wallace scored 24 points and 12 rebounds, Stephen Jackson played just 25 minutes, got 16 points,Tyson Chandler 15 points 6 rebounds.

76ers (26-49) had two-game losing streak.Andre Iguodala 14 points,and Jason Kapono got 13.

Bouncing back from a home loss two nights earlier to Toronto, the Bobcats forced 25 turnovers, took 24 more free throws than the 76ers and dominated the second half to move four games ahead of ninth-place Chicago in the Eastern Conference with eight games left. The top eight teams make the playoffs.

Charlotte, meanwhile, got a strong game from Chandler inside -- and it's been a long time coming. Slowed for much of the season with foot and ankle problems, the player acquired from New Orleans for Emeka Okafor in the offseason had failed to provide the expected life and versatility inside.

After the Bobcats were upset with several calls down the stretch of Monday's loss to Toronto, new owner Michael Jordan took little time to target the referees from his seat next to the Charlotte bench. He yelled after an out of bounds call went Philadelphia's way, and the call was overturned by the trail official.

Jordan was in a much better mood when he rocked back in his chair in laughter during a conversation with referee Leon Wood before the start of the second quarter. The Jordan on the other bench, however, was steamed with a 16-3 free-throw discrepancy as the Bobcats built a 16-point first-half lead.

Bucks lead to Clippers 107-89,Jennings adds 17

Milwaukee past the Los Angeles Clippers 107-89 on Tuesday night.Brandon Jennings scored 17 points and went the extra distance to protect Bucks big man Andrew Bogut .

Bogut scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds in his second straight game since missing one with a sore back, and Jennings, who added six assists and five rebounds, came to the 7-footer's aid late in the third quarter when tensions rose after a spat of rough play.

These Bucks won't be pushed around by anyone, turning into just the type of scrappy, hard-scrabble group that coach Scott Skiles envisioned when he took over in 2008.

Though the Clippers beat Milwaukee on March 17 in L.A., this one wasn't close despite double-doubles from Chris Kaman (17 points and 10 rebounds) and Drew Gooden (20 and 11). Ersan Ilyasova scored 20 points, Jerry Stackhouse had 16 and Charlie Bell 10 for the Bucks.

Milwaukee, which led by double digits most of the game, turned the pressure up late in the third quarter. John Salmons found Bogut for a one-handed alley-oop slam and moments later Bogut swatted a layup by Eric Gordon to Jennings, who flipped a soft touch pass downcourt to Stackhouse for a dunk that gave Milwaukee a 77-61 lead.

That sparked the Bucks' point guard, who got an outlet pass on a 2-on-1 break with Stackhouse and froze the defender by faking a behind-the-back pass for a layup that made it 81-66 and brought the crowd to its feet.
Bogut has never had a winning record since being selected No. 1 overall in 2005 despite having one postseason trip his rookie year, and Milwaukee looked headed for another losing mark this season at 18-25 in January.

Thunder Too Much for 76ers 111-93

For three quarters, Kevin Durant put on quite a show for about 50 friends and family members who made the short trip up I-95 from his hometown of Washington, D.C.

There was no need to play for most of the fourth while his teammates were adding to a big lead. Durant had 26 points and 10 rebounds, Jeff Green added 16 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a 111-93 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

''It's big to see fans with the Oklahoma City jerseys on,'' Durant said. ''I don't care if it's my jersey. I care about Oklahoma City jerseys. I know a lot of the jerseys were for me because I had a lot of family here. It was extra special to get a win here.''

Nenad Krstic added 14 points and Russell Westbrook had 10 points and 14 assists for the Thunder (45-28), who swept the season series from Philadelphia for the first time since 1998-99. ''We start every game with the same approach, to have a serious competitive effort no matter who we're playing,'' Thunder coach Scott Brooks said.

James Harden had 12 points and Serge Ibaka 10 for Oklahoma City, which is nearing its first playoff appearance since 2004-05 as the Seattle SuperSonics. Elton Brand scored 22 points, Andre Iguodala added 21 and Jrue Holiday had 11 for the Sixers, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.

''We were close for a while, and then the beginning of the fourth quarter, they kind of exploded on us,'' Brand said. Philadelphia still has not won at least three in a row since a five-game streak between Jan. 31-Feb. 9.
''I think we missed some easy shots,'' Holiday said. ''They got in transition and got some momentum in the fourth and we didn't recover.'' Marreese Speights and Rodney Carney added 10 points each.
As usual, Durant provided the big plays for the Thunder.
Durant, the league's second-leading scorer (29.6) behind only LeBron James' 29.8, sparked the Thunder with six points in the final 2:07 of the third quarter. After the Sixers got within 77-70, Durant drove by three Philadelphia defenders and threw down a one-handed dunk.

Durant, who has 22 double-doubles this season, then added a tough runner in the lane and two free throws with 0.9 seconds remaining.
Oklahoma City also received balanced scoring and extended its lead early in the fourth. The Thunder went on a 17-4 run to open the quarter with reserves scoring all the points. Eric Maynor had six and Harden five as the Thunder increased their lead to 101-78 with 5:55 left. ''Our bench did a great job, especially in the fourth quarter,'' Brooks said. ''Eric Maynor set the tone with a big 3-point shot.''

Paul Has 15 Points as Hornets Beat Lakers 108-100

Chris Paul had his first double-double since returning from injury with 15 points and 13 assists to help the New Orleans Hornets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 108-100 on Monday night.

David West scored 20 points for New Orleans, while Marcus Thornton had 18 points and fellow rookie Darren Collison, a former UCLA standout, added 17 points against his hometown team.

Kobe Bryant had 31 points and Pau Gasol added 26 points and 22 rebounds, but they didn't have much help as the Lakers trailed throughout the final three quarters and fell behind by as much as 17 points in the fourth before losing for the second time in three games.
Thornton and James Posey each had three 3-pointers for the Hornets, who hit 10 3s in all while snapping a two-game skid. Posey finished with 13 points and Emeka Okafor grabbed 13 rebounds.

Ron Artest scored 14 points and Lamar Odom 10 for Los Angeles, but the Lakers did not have a point from a reserve until Jordan Farmar's 3-pointer with 2:42 left in the third quarter, which cut New Orleans' lead to 66-61.

The Hornets responded with eight straight points, capped by West's layup on a feed from Paul. After Gasol's free throws pulled the Lakers to 74-63, Los Angeles was looking to cut it to single digits when Posey swooped in for a backside block on Gasol. New Orleans broke the other way and Collison hit a driving floater in a crowd while being fouled by Gasol. He converted the three-point play to widen New Orleans' lead to 77-63 heading into the fourth quarter.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson appeared ready to concede after Okafor tipped in West's miss to make it 87-70 with a little more than nine minutes left. Bryant joined Gasol on the bench, even thought the Lakers' reserves were being outscored 31-5 to that point. However, the Lakers scored 11 straight points, the last when Bryant checked back in just in time to put back Farmar's missed free throw, cutting it to 87-81 with about 5:40 still remaining.

Darius Songaila, who had 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting, then hit a jumper to snap the run. After Famar hit another 3, West banked in a tough fade over Odom. Artest then missed his second 3-point attempt in three possessions and the Hornets began rebuilding their lead. Songaila tipped in West's miss. Soon after, Posey's 3 put the Hornets up 96-86 with 2:19 to go. The Lakers started fouling, but the Hornets hit their next eight free throws -- four by Paul and two each by Thornton and Posey.

New Orleans wound up outshooting the Lakers 49 percent to 42 percent as Los Angeles was hurt by 7-of-29 shooting from 3-point range.
Gasol scored the Lakers' first 12 points and his dunk later gave Los Angeles a 21-17 lead, but New Orleans regained the lead for good on consecutive 3s by Posey and Collison.

Salmons Scores 25, Bucks Rally Past Grizzlies

John Salmons scored 10 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, and the Milwaukee Bucks rallied to beat the Memphis Grizzlies
108-103 on Sunday.

Salmons twice put the Bucks ahead in the extra period with baskets, including the lead for good when he drained a fading 14-foot jumper with 1:35 left. Rookie Brandon Jennings added 29 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, and Andrew Bogut had 18 points and 11 rebounds in his return after missing a game with a sore back to help the Bucks avoid a three-game losing streak.

Milwaukee is 16-4 since acquiring Salmons at the trade deadline from Chicago. Zach Randolph led Memphis with 31 points and 15 rebounds, but was clearly frustrated down the stretch, chucking his headband toward the crowd after being called for a foul with 45 seconds to play in overtime.

Milwaukee rallied from a seven-point deficit midway through the fourth quarter when Jennings took control. Jennings, who had 11 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, had been struggling from the field in his past four games, but hit several contested layups.
He also made one costly mistake.

After putting the Bucks ahead 93-89 with a floater and again 94-92 with a free throw, he fouled Mike Conley in the corner with 2.1 seconds left in regulation. The referees reviewed the shot, determining it was a 2-pointer, and Conley hit both free throws to send the game to overtime.
There, Grizzlies center Marc Gasol, who had missed the previous five games with a partially torn neck muscle, put Memphis up 98-96 with a jumper.

But Salmons hit a 3 to give Milwaukee a 99-98 lead. After O.J. Mayo, who finished with 17 points, had a run-out dunk with 1:48 to play, Salmons sank the jumper to give the Bucks the lead for good and Milwaukee hit six of its final seven free throws to seal it. While Memphis came into the game just 1 1/2 behind Milwaukee in the overall NBA standings, the teams have dynamically different postseason chances.

The Bucks are in fifth in the Eastern Conference and hold the tiebreaker over the four teams chasing them from behind, while the Grizzlies' chances are all but gone to catch Portland or San Antonio in the standings.

Milwaukee has also struggled with injuries and illness in the past few days. Bogut missed Friday's game because of a sore back that had limited him in his previous three and Ersan Ilyasova was out Friday with the flu.
Then, Carlos Delfino had to be taken off in a stretcher when he was inadvertently landed on by Heat forward Udonis Haslem on Friday night. Gasol had been out, too, and finished with 11 points and six rebounds before fouling out.

Milwaukee trailed 85-78 midway through the fourth, but the Grizzlies committed four turnovers down the stretch as the Bucks rallied. Ilyasova gave them their first lead of the period at 91-89 after a second-chance 3-pointer with 1:37 left. But Conley's free throws sent the game to overtime.

Nets'Winning Streak, Their First of Season,2 hit

Having secured their ninth victory of a desperately forgettable season Friday night against Detroit, the Nets will not go down as the most futile team in N.B.A. history.
But putting some distance between themselves and the nine-win Philadelphia 76ers of 1972-73 will have to wait. The Nets had no legs, no defensive answers and no shooting touch against the Chicago Bulls in the second of back-to-back games Saturday night, and took a 106-83 beating at the United Center.

“It’s disappointing,” Coach Kiki Vandeweghe said after the Nets’ first two-game winning streak of the season was halted. “The Bulls are playing for something, and it showed. We did not come to play tonight. We didn’t match their energy.”

The Nets are 9-64 with nine games left, the next one at home against San Antonio on Monday. One night after their highest-scoring and best shooting game of the season, they made just 35.8 percent of their 81 shots from the field. They were outrebounded, 54-42, and never led after the first quarter, when the Bulls used a 23-5 run to break the game open.

“Last night didn’t carry over,” said Jarvis Hayes, who made four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. “Fatigue was part of it, but we didn’t have good ball movement and we didn’t play well on defense. We couldn’t get a stop.”
The rookie Terrence Williams led the Nets with 16 points. The 7-footers Brook Lopez and Yi Jianlian combined for 68 points Friday against Detroit. But Yi (7 points) was in foul trouble all night against Chicago and played 17 minutes. The frustrated Lopez (7 points) made 2 of 11 shots.
“These are the games where you take your lumps, hope you learn some lessons and move on,” Vandeweghe said.

The Bulls are without their No. 2 scorer, Luol Deng, who is out with a strained calf, and the energetic center Joakim Noah is playing limited minutes because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot. But they stayed within hailing distance of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot by sharing the ball: they had 30 assists on their 37 baskets.
